Christmas Baskets for Families

We are reaching out to community organizations/agencies to build partnership with the Chenango Forks Christmas Baskets For Families Initiative. As we are approaching the holiday season, we are finding that many of our families are facing challenges with finances. With our Christmas Baskets Initiative, we are giving our families clothing, blankets, food to support health and well-being along with gift cards to stores to help support our local economy!

About Chenango Forks Christmas Basket Initiative: Our district knows the importance of supporting our families. Without necessities (food, clothing, shelter, love...), how can we build a strong, prosperous community? With the Christmas Baskets for Families Initiative, we are hoping to provide hope and support to those who are experiencing financial hardship this year/holiday season. The items given to identified families include blankets, mittens, gloves, gift cards for food, gifts and more! This initiative also supports our local economy... as our families are using the gift cards to purchase goods, our local organizations are benefitting as well! This also has an impact on our students. This year has been challenging with the change in learning models due to COVID-19. By a school initiative being able to provide access to resources that they need (i.e., food), their connection to and relationship with their school may grow. We want our students (and families) to know that their district is there to support their needs and that they are loved.
