About Bethlehem Central Middle School (BCMS) PTO - History Bowl Club: Congratulations to our two BCMS history bowl teams who competed earlier in February at the Upper Hudson Regional History Bowl and will move on to compete at the National History Bowl in April. Our first team included eighth graders Ben Goldberg, Michael Fishburn, and Sam Cooper; seventh grader Vincent Rigney; and sixth grader Aaron Matturpath. The team finished the tournament 4-1 and were finalists. The school’s second team included eighth graders Alan Choppy, Cooper Patschurcheck, and Sam Sleurs; and seventh graders Daniel Middendorf and Griffin Roeder. That team was undefeated at 5-0 and were named bowl champions. Both teams qualified for the National History Bowl in Arlington, Virginia. In addition to the team victories, Cooper Patschurek placed second in JV Upper Hudson History Bee and qualified for the National Bee. Griffin Roeder placed first in the JV Bee and competed in semi-finals with five varsity players (juniors and seniors in high school) and qualified for National Bee. .
