The money which we raise can enhance our services, buying books, training kits for the volunteers to teach students, laptops and material for our Sewing Program We appreciate the generosity from our community!

About Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County: Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County (LVORC) is a nonprofit organization that provides free, confidential tutoring to adults, and out-of-school teens in reading, writing, math and conversational English each year. For fifty-three years, LVORC has recruited, trained and supported volunteers to emplower adults and their families in Rensselaer County & now Albany Co., assisting them to acquire the literacy skills they need to function more effectively in their daily lives.
