Living and Growing Literacy

Literacy services are needed as much now during COVID-19 as any other time and raising funds to provide these services at no cost to the student is how we do it.

About Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County: At Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County • We teach people to read, write and speak English. • We empower our students to be advocates for themselves. • We educate the larger community about literacy issues. In Rensselaer County, at least 30,000 teens and adults can’t complete a job application, write a letter to a child’s school or read the directions on a bottle of cough syrup.
