Rotary motto is "Service Above Self". Your support of this campaign will help us expand our annual Carousal Day event and expand our support of Johnson City Parks
About Johnson City Rotary: The Johnson City Rotary Club is part of a global network of more than 1.2 million neighbors, friends and leaders who unite to create projects that cause positive change throughout the world and in our communities. Club members are people from the community who want to make connections with others and give back. Rotary’s motto is “service about self.” JC Rotary’s projects include: adoption of Jenison Park in JC, adoption and cleanup of the JC traffic circle, signage at all JC Parks, donation of backpacks and supplies for students in Haiti, bicycle and helmet donations to Sarah Jane Church’s bike program, scholarships for JC high school seniors, sponsoring JC Carousel Day. For our literacy focus project, our club and the JC Elks provide dictionaries to 3rd graders annually and books which we read to 1st graders. In addition, we provide all JC students with US constitution reference books. We also fundraise to support Rotary’s efforts to eradicate polio. With other local organizations, we participate in various activities in JC: National Night Out, Trunk or Treat, the JC Holiday Parade, the Holiday Tree Lighting event in December, and JC library’s Halloween haunted house. We also sponsor a free community shredding day.
