Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a condition that affects how people communicate and interact with others. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 1 in 31 children in the United States are identified with ASD, and it’s nearly four times more common in boys than in girls. Scientists believe that both genetic and environmental factors contribute to the development of autism. While there is no cure, therapies like Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) have been shown to help individuals with ASD improve their social, communication, and learning skills. Early diagnosis and intervention are crucial for better outcomes. (cdc.gov)
