Skribblers 20th Anniversary Fund Drive

Skribblers Magazine Inc.

Skribblers Magazine Inc. has been providing inspiration, opportunity and encouragement for young writers in the Capital Region for 20 years. This drive will help support our ongoing work and bring more opportunities to celebrate youth creative literacy and art. Funds will directly support both community workshops and delivery of the publication to hundreds of youths and their families.

About Skribblers Magazine Inc.: Skribblers Magazine Inc. publishes the creative writing and artwork of children 12 and under in the Capital Region both in print and on line. All children that submit work receive page 1 / 2 personal letters with positive encouragement and feedback for their writing whether they are printed or not. Twicer per year the 32 page publication with approximately 250 examples of student work is printed and distributed to 7,000 children in 5 counties via over 40 elementary schools, 50 libraries and community venues. The online version includes the work of approximately 40 more children and is published twice annually as well. Additionally, Skribblers hosts annual events for teachers, young authors and artists and their families and workshops in schools and community venues to encourage writing, creative expression, art and literacy. Professional authors and creative professionals are brought in to share insights, details and love of literature and art with young people.
